The Optimist Jack Rabbit Cross Country Ski Program is facilitated by the local Optimist Club of Orangeville.
It has provided Nordic Ski instruction to kids aged 5 to 12 years old for the past 25 years.

The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment, and we hope to help our youth develop an appreciation for the outdoors in winter and develop better fitness through active participation.

Some of our earliest participants are now returning to help with the instruction and offer inspiration to new kids.

We work with the kids for 2 hours every Sunday afternoon starting January 6th through to the spring. (Snow conditions permitting).
